Two atoms combine to form a molecule. Two atoms join by the formation of a bond. We have to give the energy to break a bond which is known as bond dissociation energy.
The strength of the bond is known as bond strength. A strong bond means both atoms are bonded strongly with each other, so the molecule is very stable. We have supplied a high amount of energy to break this molecule. So, the dissociation energy of the bond will be high.
