Elections where citizens can directly cast votes and choose the representatives is called direct election. It is a method used in democratic form of government. People become more aware of the activities. Government educates people about how they can develop the country and hence asks for a vote to come in majority and form government whereas in indirect elections the public does not cast a vote directly. This responsibility is given to the representatives chosen by direct elections to participate in indirect election. In indirect election voters elect representatives who in turn elect their representatives for the office. The indirect election is conducted in the election of Vice president and president.
