Hint: Respiration is the process in which intake of oxygen and release of carbon dioxide happen and photorespiration is the process in which the enzyme RuBisCo oxygenates RuBP by wasting the energy produced by photosynthesis.
Cyclic photophosphorylation is the process of photosynthesis in which phosphorylation of ADP to form ATP using the sunlight and Non-cyclic photophosphorylation is the process of photosynthesis in which the reduction of NADP+ when the light is absorbed by PS2 and the excited electrons enters into electron transport chain to produce ATP.
Complete answer:
Note: Photorespiration is not related to aerobic respiration as aerobic respiration occurs throughout the day but photorespiration occurs in presence of light in green cells.

Complete answer:
| Respiration | Photorespiration |
| It is a process which involves oxidation of organic molecules and release of energy in the form of ATP. | It is a type of respiration which occurs in plants in presence of light at higher concentration of oxygen. |
| It is a catabolic process. | It is also a catabolic process. |
| It is also called the dark respiration. | It is also called the glycolate or C2 cycle. |
| It occurs in all aerobic and anaerobic organisms. | It occurs only in green plants. |
| A light independent process occurs both in presence or absence of light. | A light dependent process occurs in the presence of light. |
| The substrate of respiration is glucose. | The substrate of photorespiration is glycolate. |
| Photorespiration does not involve glycolysis, Krebs cycle. | Aerobic respiration is involved in glycolysis, Krebs cycle. |
| Cyclic-photophosphorylation | Noncyclic-photophosphorylation |
| It occurs in photosystem | It occurs in both photosystem 1 and photosystem 2. |
| In this process, ATP is produced. | In this process, both NADPH and ATP are produced. |
| Electrons are expelled by the photosystem and return back. | Electrons are expelled by the photosystem but do not return back. |
| Photolysis of water does not occur in this process. | Photolysis of water occurs in this process. |
| In this process, oxygen is not released. | In this process, oxygen is released. |
| It occurs in photosynthetic bacteria and chloroplast. | It occurs in algae, plants and cyanobacteria. |
| In this process movement of electrons is cyclic. | In this process movement of electrons is linear. |
Note: Photorespiration is not related to aerobic respiration as aerobic respiration occurs throughout the day but photorespiration occurs in presence of light in green cells.
