Strong electrolytes are compounds that completely dissociates into ions when completely dissolved in water. There is a slight increase in conductance on dilution of strong electrolytes. They are good conductors of electricity. They have strong interionic attraction at moderate concentration, whereas weak electrolytes do not dissociate completely when dissolved in water. Their conductance increases rapidly with dilution especially near infinite dilution. They are not very good conductors of electricity. Interionic attractions are not strong even when concentration is very high. Examples of strong electrolyte include strong acids, strong bases and some salts whereas examples of weak electrolyte include weak acids, weak bases and some salts.
