Hint: In the human physiology thalamus is the gray matter structure of the diencephalon that is composed of different nuclei that play a role in the alertness and regulation of the consciousness. On the other hand pituitary glands release hormones and play a very important role in controlling the many body functions that are present in the hypothalamus part of the brain.
