Hint: There are four different states of matter which are solid, liquid, gaseous and plasma. There are many processes used to convert a substance from one state of matter to another. Two of the processes include condensation and sublimation. One of them involves conversion of solid to gas and the other is conversion of gas to liquid.

Condensation and sublimation both are physical processes but there are differences between both of them. The differences between condensation and sublimation are as follows,
The process of converting a substance from its gaseous state of matter to its liquid state of matter is known as condensation. The process of converting a substance from its solid state of matter to its gaseous state of matter, skipping the liquid state of matter in between, is known as sublimation.
In condensation, the gaseous substance gets converted into a liquid state of matter by the loss of energy. In sublimation, the solid substance gets converted directly into a gaseous state of matter by the gain of energy.
The examples of condensation include forming of the dew drops in the morning and changing of vapour into water. The examples of sublimation include naphthalene balls, dry ice and when ammonium chloride undergoes heat, it directly gets converted into gaseous state of matter from the solid state.
