Hint: The first meeting of the Akhil Bhartiya Desi Rajya Lok Parishad, the place where the Congress was founded and first session of Congress of 1885, the Congress session of 1934 was held in the same place.

Complete Answer: The combination of the political movements in the Princely states of the British Raj led to the establishment of the All Indian States People’s Conference (AISPC) and locally it is also called the Praja Mandals or Lok Parishads or Akhil Bhartiya Desi Rajya Parishad. In the third week of December 1927, the first meeting was held in Bombay under the chairmanship of Diwan Bahadur Ramchandra Rao.
The Council wanted the support of the Indian National Congress but till 1939, Congress was hesitant to assist. Jawaharlal Nehru became the president of the Indian National Congress and assisted them. But after 1947, when India attained independence, Congress turned away from the movement.
On 25 April 1948, except for the Jammu & Kashmir National Conference, the States Peoples' Conference dissolved itself, and the units joined the Congress. JKNC was directed by Sheikh Abdullah, this body remained independent while in 1965, the other section joined the Congress.
The major objective of the Conference was to bring closer the representatives from hundreds of princely states. To support the political discussion between the princely states and the British, it was established.
Till the 1930s, no popular face represented the Conference and after that, the membership was opened across the political spectrum. In 1935, the first Prime Minister of India was invited to become the All-India body President and he remained the President until 1946.

Thus, the correct option is C.

Note: For a long time, the Council was seen as a negative force to the Independence movement of India and it mostly criticized and denounced the works of the Indian National Congress.
