Hint:
He launched satyagraha for people who were not provided the basic remuneration even after putting all their efforts and being stuck to it. The situation of the employees got worse due to the bad economic condition.

Complete step by step solution:
Mohandas Karamchand Gandhi was born on 2nd October 1869 in Porbandar. He was a political activist who was raised in Gujarat. He is considered as a “Father of the Nation “and also called “Bapu”. He considered “Gopal Krishna Gokhale” as his political guru. His autobiography is “My experiments with truth”. He married Kasturba Gandhi. He was killed by Nathuram Godse on 30th January 1948.
He launched this satyagraha to support the mill workers to lead a strike against the mill owners who were not paying them wages. The workers were facing difficulties due to plague and inflation. Gandhiji asked the workers to demand a 35% increase in their wages. The strike lasted for 21 days. Later the mill owners agreed to this condition and provided them their wages.
