Thereafter, new mills were commenced in Mumbai and Bangalore in 1882 and 1886 respectively.

Small scale industries that comprise sports goods, handloom, bicycle, and stocking, etc are established in the province. The advancement of enterprises in the province of Punjab Haryana plain brought a huge gain after the interval of independence. The economic subsidy was furnished by the government. The way for industrialization paved its way right to the large quantity of energy produced by the Bhakra-Nangal program and a good market for customer goods.

Note: Amritsar city of Punjab state is well-known for textiles, machine equipment, and food processing enterprises. Jalandhar city in Punjab is the prominent center of sports goods. Scientific equipment is produced in large order in the Ambala city of Haryana. Ambala is named the Science City of Haryana.
