Cycloalkanes are also known by the name naphthenic but it is not similar with naphthalene; these are generally known as monocyclic saturated hydrocarbons. Cycloalkane can also be described as a compound which hydrocarbons. It consists only of hydrogen and carbon atoms arranged in a structure containing a single ring and all of the carbon-carbon bonds are single.
