India sharing border with-

China-
- Total 3488km of border shared by both countries.
- Boundary between the two countries is called the McMahon line.
- It is between the Tibet region and north east region of india.
- This was proposed during the SIMLA convention of 1914.
- China is not agreeing to this line and currently this is a disputed region .

Bangladesh-
- India shares the longest boundary with bangladesh.
- It is around 4096 km
- The border created a narrow strip of passage in the Bengal region called a chicken's neck.
- This is a pass generally used to connect with the north east region of india.

Nepal--
- The border is of 1458 km.its an open border.
- People can easily travel between these two countries, also helpful in transportation and trade purposes.

Bhutan--
- Shares boundary of around 578 km.
- We share an open border with this country.
- It is in the vicinity of Assam ,Sikkim ,Arunachal and west bengal states.

Myanmar-
- It shares 1458 km of boundary.
- It touches the states of Arunachal ,Manipur,Mizoram .
- India is constructing the India Myanmar barrier to seal the border in order to reduce cross border crimes.

Pakistan-
- We share around 3310 km with pakistan.
- The border is well known LoC which separates indian administered kashmir region from pakistani occupied kashmir.
- Also there is a sir creel in the Rann of Kutch of Gujarat as a border.


Afghanistan-
- This is the shortest border shared by india which is 106 km
- India claims the Wakhan corridor to be the India and afghanistan border.
