Hint:
In the problem of construction of geometry we just have to follow the steps. Always draw a rough figure first and then follow it to draw the original construction.

Complete step by step solution:
 First sketch a rough figure.

Now we will follow the steps one by one and will construct our parallelogram.
1: Draw line segment BC=5cm.

2: Now on point C marks an obtuse angle of measure \[{120^ \circ }\] .

3: Next from point C take a length of 4.8cm in compass and make an arc on line of angle and mark that point as D.

4: Now we will draw line AD. For that from point D take a distance of 5cm in compass and make an arc at that distance.

5: At last, draw a line parallel to CD from point B. and make sure it intersects the arc drawn from D

6: Now the point at which the two lines intersect mark it as point A.

This completes our construction of a parallelogram.

Note:
Remember the labeling of the diagram like length of sides, angles if given, names of vertices. Also don’t forget to draw rough figures because it is like a plan of action for the construction.
