Complete answer:
In the given question, we have to fill in the blanks in the incomplete spellings provided to make two whole words.
We know that -
Generally, in most words, the second letter is a vowel.
Vowels are only five- a, e, i, o, and u.
We can try to put in different vowels to see if a word is formed. However, not all blanks will necessarily use a vowel, as a consonant can be used too.
For the first incomplete word, we have two blanks. ( suc _ e _ d )
Thus, the answer can be succeed, which uses the consonant ‘c’ for the first blank and the vowel ‘e’ for the second blank.
Succeed is a verb which is defined as - attain success or reach a desired goal; be the successor (of).
 For the second incomplete word too, we have two blanks. ( c _ r _ y )
Thus, the answer can be carry, which uses the vowel ‘a’ for the first blank and the consonant ‘r’ for the second blank.
Carry is a verb which is defined as - move while supporting, either in a vehicle or in one's hands or on one's body.

Note:
In this question, it will be helpful for the student to recall the concept of verbs. A verb is a content word that denotes an action, occurrence, or state of existence. A verb is the word class that serves as the predicate of a sentence.
