Hint: Metamorphosis is a biological process in the life of an insect by which it develops into an adult by going through different stages of life like a pupa, larva, nymph after hatching from an egg or after birth. -Holometabolous life cycle- In this life cycle, there is a complete metamorphosis from larva to adult or imago i.e. adult to egg to larva to pupa. The pupal stage is present. During this type of life cycle morphological structures of larva, nymph, imago are similar but the difference mainly lies in that in the adult stage reproductive organs are developed.
