Complete answer:
Bal Gangadhar Tilak was a nationalist, philosopher, social reformer, and the very first popular leader at the time of India’s Independence. He was usually addressed as Lokmanya was a scholar student and was the first and strongest proponents for the Swaraj in India. He was also considered the father of the Hindu nation. His very famous quote “Swaraj is my birthright and I shall have it!” These lines are still remembered by Indians today! In the year 1881, he started two papers named the Marathi Kesari and Mahratta which were published in English to let them get the political general awareness which the general public can get. Books that Bal Gangadhar Tilak wrote helped to spread a lot of awareness about our culture, heritage, and pride amongst the Indians and as the glory of our nation. He was the first and only learned to suggest that the Devanagari scripts should only be written in Hindi as it is the sole language of India. He only wished for one thing that was the removal of the English language from India but still English is an important part of our society.

So, the correct answer is C and D.

Note: The main reason why the paper was established was not for earning profit but because they wanted the people to have some political education in common. Which also played a major role in the national movement.
