Hint:
For solving this type of question we just need to know the relation between the terms we have to convert. Here we have the centimeters and meters and we know that $1{\text{ meter = 100 centimeters}}$ . So by using this relation and applying the unitary method we will get to the result.
Complete Step by Step Solution:
Here in this question we have to find the centimeters in the given meter. So by using the relation which we had seen in the hind will be given by $1{\text{ meter = 100 centimeters}}$ .
So by using the unitary method, we can say that
As in one meter, there will be a total of $100{\text{ centimeters}}$
So in four-meter, we will get the value as
$ \Rightarrow 4m \times \dfrac{{100cm}}{{1m}}$
Since the same term will cancel out each other and on solving the equations, we will get the equation as
$ \Rightarrow 400cm$
Therefore, there are $400{\text{ centimeters}}$ in $4{\text{ meters}}$.
Note:
for measuring the length like how tall we are, or how wide a table is, also like we can measure the length of a football. For all of these and to measure better we use meters. Whereas centimeters are used to measure a slightly small length as compared to the meter. In short form, the meter can be written as $meter$ and centimeter can be written as $cm$ .
