Complete answer:
Cancer is a genetic disease. It is caused due to alteration in the gene structure of our cells and changes in the way the cell functions. It leads to abnormal growth of the cell which is capable of destroying the normal cells present in the body. Cancer can be divided on the basis of their origin. Carcinomas usually form solid tumors in the body. It begins in the skin or the tissue that covers the internal organs and glands or we can say that they start in the epithelial cells. They are the most common type of cancer. Various types of carcinoma present in the epithelial cells are squamous cell carcinoma, adenocarcinoma, transitional cell carcinoma, and basal cell carcinoma. Examples of carcinomas include- prostate cancer, breast cancer, lung cancer, and colorectal cancer. Sarcomas cancer starts in the connective tissue which is the supporting tissue of the body. The connective tissues are bones, tendons, cartilage and fibrous tissue. They are less commonly found. Leukaemia’s cancer is the cancer of the white blood cells. The white blood cells are formed in the bone marrow. They are not fully formed and they lead to an abnormal build-up of the cells. They are a very uncommon type of cancer. They are most common in children.
Note: Cancer can lead to formation of lumps in the body. It also leads to the cough and trouble breathing. Treatment of cancer includes chemotherapy which takes a toll on the health of the patient. It can lead to unexplained sudden weight loss and a person can feel lethargic and fatigued.
