Hint: Here we have been asked whether we can graph a complex number. Firstly we will express a general form of complex number than Then we will write down the real and imaginary part of the number in form of an ordered pair and then we will plot it in the graph where the $x-$ axis will represent the real part and the $y-$ axis will represent the imaginary part.
Complete answer: We have been asked whether a complex number can be shown in a graph.
The complex numbers are expressed as follows:
$z=a+bi$
Where, $a=$ Real part and $b=$ Imaginary part
Now we can write it in the form of an ordered pair as follows:
$\left( a,b \right)$
We will plot the point $a$ in the $x-$axis and point $b$ in the $y-axis$
Although we are plotting the complex number in the same manner a real number is plotted in the graph, the complex numbers aren’t real. The $x-$ coordinate is the only real part of a complex number and we call the $x-$ axis as the real axis and the $y-$ axis as the imaginary axis while graphing a complex number.
Hence the answer is yes we can graph complex numbers.
Note:
Complex numbers are those which have an imaginary value as the imaginary value can’t be satisfied by the real line when a new number system was introduced. When there is a negative sign value inside a square root we get a complex number $i$ where ${{i}^{2}}=-1$ . Complex numbers give solution to all polynomial equations even for those whose solution are not present in the real numbers
