Zila Parishad is a Hindi word where “Zila” means “district or local” and “Parishad” means “council or assembly”.
Individuals from the Zila Parishad are chosen from the region for a term of five years. Zila Parishad has at least 50 and a max limit of 75 individuals.

-There are seats held for Scheduled Castes, Scheduled Tribes, Other Backward Classes, and Women. These councilors are picked by direct political race from constituent divisions in the region.
