It lies in the hills of the Anekal range which is 22 km from Bangalore. It has an elevation of 1245-1634m and has an annual rainfall of 700mm on average which acts as a major water resource along with the Suvarnamukhi stream. The park is part of the wildlife corridor for elephants. The terrain of the park is hilly, scrubland on the higher areas, with granite sheets under moist deciduous forest valleys. 101 species of birds have been recorded in the park along with the wildlife of elephants, leopard jackal, fox, etc. A total of 24 different species of fauna and 18 flora which include Sandalwood, Neem, tamarind, bamboo, etc. The park offers a guided bus tour for tourism along with a 6km long safari road.
