Complete step by step solution:
It was first formed on 17 February 1942, comprising captured Indian prisoners of war of the British Indian Army in Singapore.

Azad Hind Fauj, an armed force was formed by Indian nationalists and Imperial Japan in 1942 in Southeast Asia during World War II. The aim of its creation was to secure Indian independence from British rule.

The army was formed for the very first time in 1942 under Captain Mohan Singh. Due to differences in leadership This first INA collapsed and was disbanded after differences between the INA leadership and he Japanese military over its role in Japan's war in Asia. Looking at this state of INA, Rash Behari Bose handed over INA to Subhas Chandra Bose. Under his leadership, INA was revived in 1943 and was declared to be Bose’s army.

By the time the Azad Hind Fauj was formally established, it had a strong strength of 85,000 troops. Bose believed in the youth and their power. He inspired the soldiers to give up on everything and be part of the fight of the nation.

Under his leadership, the Hind Fauj drew ex-prisoners and civilian volunteers from the Indian expatriate population in Malaya and Burma. This new INA fought along with the Imperial Japanese Army against the British forces in the campaigns of Burma.
