Hint: Aurangzeb, was the sixth Mughal ruler; also known as Alamgir which means “conqueror of the world”. He introduced the idea of “Fatawa Alamgiri” was a sharia-based regulating body on all the matters of military, economic, political and penal issues

Complete answer: The Mughal-Rajput relations transformed from bad to worse, as he has been declared as the most controversial ruler of the Mughal dynasty. Under the reign of Aurangzeb, he undertook some orthodox measures like the reimposition of Jaziya ( religious tax), demolition of Hindu temples that were against the idea of communal harmony propagated by Akbar.
After 1167, the bond significantly reduced. In 1664, when Aurangzeb sent troops along with Raja Jai Singh who attacked the fort of Purandar, The treaty of Purandar, was signed between Raja Jai Singh I, a Rajput ruler of Amber and Maratha Chatrapati Shivaji on June 11, 1665. Jai Singh besieged Purandar Fort and this forced Shivaji to sign the agreement. He decided to sign the treaty realizing that war would cost him money and soldiers. Shivaji on the suggestion of Jai Singh to meet Aurangzeb for sanctioning the treaty, however, he was insulted at the Mughal court as he was made to stand in court and soon he realized that he was under house arrest he could not leave Agra. Shivaji finally managed to escape along with his son and declared himself an independent king by continuing his retaliation against the Mughals. Aurangzeb had to react to this and he started a revolt against the Marathas in the Deccan, who initiated a guerrilla war.
