Hint: Molecules are formed by the combination of the atoms and many molecules added together to form a compound. Molecules are not the basic or primary unit of any compound in the chemistry.

Complete answer:
As we know that atoms are the fundamental unit of any element in the universities.
-By combining atoms formation of molecules takes place.
-If we join two atoms then in this condition also formation of molecules takes place.
-And if we join two or more than two, then in this condition also formation of molecules takes place.
So, from the above two facts it is clear that, minimum two atoms or maximum infinite atoms are required for the formation of molecules. And the number of atoms which are utilized for the formation of molecules also depends upon the requirement or necessity of the produced molecule.
Example of some molecules are as follow:
-Sodium chloride (NaCl) is a molecule which is formed by the combination of two atoms which are sodium (Na) and chlorine (Cl).
-Ammonia (NH3) is a molecule which is formed by the combination of three hydrogen atoms and one nitrogen atom.
Hence, minimum two atoms are required for the formation of molecules.

Note:
Here some of you may think that a molecule is a big sized compound then how it will be formed by two atoms only. But that assumption is wrong, because some molecules are present in small size also and we never calculate the number of atoms by seeing only its size.
