The Bastar rebellion was mainly organised by the forest communities who were imposed many regulations by the British government. The Bastar rebellion was led from the village called Nethanar. Gunda Dhur led this rebellion. The Britishers sent their troop to control and suppress the rebellion in Bastar. Even after about three months, the British did not capture Gunda Dhur and were unable to suppress the rebellion. The work on reservation was temporarily suspended. This was a major victory for the rebels.
