The matter has three states, solid, liquid, and gases. These states constitute atoms, molecules, or ions. The atoms, ions, or molecules face different attractions in different states.

Density: Solids and liquids have a high density. The gases have low density.
Therefore, the three states of matter are different in arrangement of particles and force of attraction in particles, so each state has different properties.

Note:The three states of a substance are interconvertible such as water. Water can exist as solid at zero degree Celsius, liquid at normal temperature, and gas above hundred degree Celsius. The interconversion of states occurs at different temperatures and pressure values. We use phase diagrams to determine the temperate and pressure value for a substance for the interconversion.
