Hint: The aneroid barometer is made of a small capsule which has some flexible sides. The air gets pumped out from this capsule. So basically whenever there is any change in the pressure then the thickness of this capsule will also change.
Complete answer:
Barometers are very useful devices and play a very important role in helping us to predict the weather. In other words, we can say that it assists us in preparing for the changes in the weather in advance. By the way, we can also use the mercury or the aneroid barometer for detecting any changes which are going to happen in the altitude. Here, the bad weather will be indicated by the low air pressure.
Aneroid barometers are used for reading pressure mostly in homes and also in the recreational boats. An aneroid barometer contains no liquid and It is very light and easy to move and that’s why they can be easily carried from one place to another without any worry of harm to this device.
We can very easily fit the aneroid barometer into an aircraft which then helps us in sustaining the variations and rolls of the aircraft. Whereas when we consider a mercury barometer, it will not be able to fit in like the prior one.
Note:
While there are a lot of benefits of the aneroid barometer but it still has a drawback. So, when we compare it with a mercury barometer, it does not give that much of an accuracy as a mercury barometer gives us.
