The harmful effects of smog are:
Ozone, peroxyacyl nitrates and PAN occur in the eyes and into the respiratory system.
Smog has oxidizing nature. Oxygen contains metals like nitrogen dioxide and ozone causing corrosion of metals, stone, rubber and painted surfaces. Smog is harmful for fabrics and crops also. Smog effects are harmful to the senior citizens, children with heart and lung problems.
Due to photochemical smog, pneumonia, inflammation of tissues, fatigue and premature of lungs and death. There are so many harmful effects of photochemical smog on human beings which causes diseases of lungs and heart. But we can have controlled photochemical smog in different ways.
The prevention of photochemical smog is given as below:
The catalytic converters prevent this smog. For example, Nitrogen dioxide and hydrogen are released in the atmosphere which is controlled by the smog by converters.
Using Catalytic converters in automobiles which also release nitrogen oxide and hydrogen gases. We plantation such plants which metabolize nitrogen dioxide. For example, Pinus, Pyrus and Vitis etc.

Smog is the type of air pollution, which reduces visibility. Smog was produced by the industrial areas. It came from coal also.Smog can be prevented by planting trees which release nitrogen oxide.
