Hint: The Harappan civilization is said to be an ancient civilization of India. These cities are around four thousand and six hundred years old. The Harappans was planned cities. Most of their cities were divided into two parts. The upper part is called the citadel and the lower part is called the Lower Town.

The cities of Harappa were discovered buried under the soil across the Sindh valley region of Panjab. The features of these Harappan cities are,
- The cities were mainly comprised of two or more parts.
- These two are the western and eastern part
- The western part is at an elevated level and it is narrow.
- The eastern part is called the lower town
- People lived in the eastern part. This house were systematically designed and well-constructed
- Both eastern and western parts had strong walls constructed out of huge bricks
- Cities like Mahenjo Daro, Lalibagan and Lothal are special.
- Mahenjo Daro is known for its great bath while kalibagan and Lothal are famous for fire alters. Lothal had good granaries.
- The house drains relays all the wastewater to the drains

The citadel was in height because the building was situated in the citadel on mud-brick platforms. This area was separated by walls from the Lower Town. The main streets of the Harappan cities were built according to a grid pattern.
