Hint: Think of all the characteristics that we normally use to define the characteristics of a solid object. Then, you could discuss how these characteristics bring out the differences and similarities between the three. You could also mention the consequence of each of the characteristics.
Complete answer:
In the question, we are asked to differentiate the characteristics of the Earth, the Moon and the Sun.
While defining the characteristics of an object the first thing that comes to our mind would be size. In the given objects the Sun is the biggest followed by the Earth and finally the moon. Quite obviously the same will be the trend in the case of mass. Being the heaviest of the three the gravitational pull will be highest in the Sun followed by Earth and then the moon.
Now, for the temperature, due to the lack of atmosphere the moon shows extreme temperatures and temperature on the sun is too high and earth shows variation in temperature depending on latitudes and longitude.
The gravitational pull of sun makes earth revolve around it and similarly earth’s gravitational pull keeps the moon in the orbit.
Also, the sun is a ‘star’ and the moon is a ‘natural satellite’ of our ‘planet’ earth. Though all the three rotate on their axis, revolution around another body is only for the moon and earth.
Of all the three, life sustainability is a characteristic of our planet earth.
Note:
Other than the mentioned important characteristics, there may be other similarities and differences that exist. For example, you could think of the composition of them, or may be their formation, etc. We could also mention how each of them are related to each other.
