Hint: Kharif crops, also known as monsoon crops or autumn crops are domesticated plants that are cultivated during the monsoon season. Rabi crops are agricultural crops that are sown in winter and harvested in spring in India.

Complete answer:
Legumes are the plants that belong to the family Fabaceae (Leguminosae). When the seeds of these plants are used as a dry grain, they are known as pulses. Legumes are primarily grown for human consumption, for livestock forage and silage, and as soil-enhancing green manure. Well-known legumes include chickpeas, lentils, clover, beans, peas, etc.

Pulses are the crops of temperate climate. Well-drained loamy and clayey soils are ideal for their growth. The ideal temperature for their cultivation is about 15°-20°C and they require a moderate amount of rainfall of 25-75 cms. They can be grown in drier areas with the help of irrigation.

Thus, Pulses are all-season crops. Which means they can be grown in any season.
- Kharif Pulses: Arhar (Tur), Urd (Blackgram), Moong (Greengram), Lobia (Cowpea).
- Rabi Pulses: Gram, Lentil, Pea, Lathyrus and Rajesh.
- Pulses are grown in summer: Greengram, Blackgram.
- In spite of all these crops, Rabi Pulses contribute to more than 60%of production.

Therefore pluses are all-season crops.

Note: Most of the Pulses have symbiotic nitrogen-fixing bacteria in structures called root nodules. For that reason, they play a key role in crop rotation. Pulses are the crops mainly harvested for the dry seeds. Due to the availability of ideal conditions, Madhya Pradesh is the largest producer of Pulses
