Hint: Pastoral based industries also known as livestock farming, these industries depend on the pasture of animals. They are part of the classification of industries on the basis of raw materials. It aims to produce livestock instead of growing crops.

Complete answer:
Industries are classified into three sorts i.e, raw materials, size and ownership. On the basis of raw materials, there are Agro-based, Mineral based, Pastoral based, Marine based and Forest-based. Industries depending on agriculture for their raw material are agro-based industries.

Pastoral based industries on the other hand get their raw materials from animals like sheep, goats, cattle etc. Materials like skins, bones, flesh, milk are transformed into woollen textiles, leather goods and dairy products. Pastoral farming is a non-nomadic form of pastoralism in which farmers have some sort of ownership of their land to make them economically strong and give them chances to improve their land.

There are many factors such as steep slopes, wet climate and cold strong winds which makes it more likely to be found than arable farming. Pastoral farming is common in Argentina, Australia where pastoral farmers are known as graziers, Brazil and Canada.

Note: Pastoral farming has many problems and restrictions like the high risk of spreading diseases between countries due to the high volume of trade. For many developing areas, investing in pastoral farming is of high-risk low reward and can cause significant financial loss due to climate change and natural disasters.
