Hint: A disease that can be transmitted from resolver or source of infection or an infected person to healthy but susceptible person is called communicable disease. Non-communicable diseases do not spread from one person to another.

Complete answer:
There are two modes of transmission- direct and indirect transmission.
Indirect transmission the pathogens are transmitted from an infected person to a healthy person directly without an intermediate agent. It can be due to direct contact with the infected person, droplet infection etc. When the pathogen is transmitted from the reservoir of infection to a healthy person through some intermediate agents it is called indirect transmission.
Vector borne diseases are caused by mosquitoes for example malaria caused by Anopheles. It can also be transmitted by agencies like contaminated food, water etc.
Helminthiasis or helminthic diseases are any worm infection in which macro parasitic organisms affect a part of the body of humans or other animals. The worms causing these diseases are called helminths. These often live in the gastro-intestine of the host but sometimes they may also be found in other organs. The mode of transmission of helminthic disease can be ingestion of contaminated soil, water, food, dirty hands etc. The contaminated food and water may contain eggs of the pathogen. Some helminthic diseases are also transmitted by eating raw and cooked meat, for example Taenia. Some other helminthic diseases are transmitted by mosquitoes and flies, for example filariasis spreads by the bite of Culex mosquito.

Note: In filariasis, the infected mosquito when bites the man, the larvae creeps out of its labium onto the human skin which then penetrates deep into the skin and after moulting becomes adult in the lymphatic system.
