 Andaman & Nicobar Islands is the Union Territory of India and established on 1st November 1956. Andaman & Nicobar Islands comprising 572 islands of which 38 are inhabited. The tri-service command of the Indian Armed Forces is located on this island. The Andaman & Nicobar lies in the Bay of Bengal. The capital of the Territory is Port Blair and the total land area is approx 8,250 Square Kilometer.
Andaman Island and Nicobar Island are separated by the 150 Km wide Ten Degree Channel. The covering area of Andaman & Nicobar Islands is 6 Degree to 14 Degree North Latitude and 92 Degree to 94 Degree East Longitude. There are 3 districts in this territory.
