Hint: The solution of an equation is the value which makes both sides of an equation equal.
We can understand this by an example
Let a equation is
$x - 2 = 7$

Complete step-by-step answer:
The equation is
$x - 2 = 7$
On solving this equation by moving $2$from left-hand side to right-hand side
$
  x = 7 + 2 \\
  x = 9 \\
$
The solution of the equation is $9$ so this solution will make this equation equal if we put this solution in the equation
On putting the value in equation
$
  x - 2 = 7 \\
  9 - 2 = 7 \\
  7 = 7 \\
$
Thus both sides of the equation are equal so the solution makes both sides of an equation equal.

Note: The solution of every equation is unique and every equation can be solved by different methods to find its solution.
When we solve an equation and get a solution, then by putting this solution in the equation we can make both sides of the equation equal. If it is not equal then our solution is wrong.
