1. Trees absorb carbon dioxide and deforestation results in fewer trees worldwide, resulting in much more carbon dioxide present in the air. The larger quantities of carbon dioxide result in an increased greenhouse effect and that leads to global warming and finally climate change.
2. As deforestation is accelerated, landscapes are drastically changed and therefore animals have to adapt to the new surroundings.
