When \[AgN{{O}_{3}}\] is heated strongly, the products formed are:
(a)- NO and \[N{{O}_{2}}\]
(b)- \[N{{O}_{2}}\] and \[{{N}_{2}}O\]
(c)- \[N{{O}_{2}}\] and \[{{O}_{2}}\]
(d)- NO and \[{{O}_{2}}\]

Hint: The molecular formula \[AgN{{O}_{3}}\] corresponds to the inorganic compound silver nitrate. It is a colorless or white crystalline substance used in preparing photographic emulsions and also as a medical antiseptic.

Complete step by step solution:
\[AgN{{O}_{3}}\] on heating produces \[A{{g}_{2}}O\] and \[N{{O}_{2}}\]. But Ag is more stable than \[A{{g}_{2}}O\]. So, \[A{{g}_{2}}O\] further decomposes to yield Ag and \[{{O}_{2}}\] molecules. Therefore, overall reaction taking place can be written as:
\[AgN{{O}_{3}}\to A{{g}_{2}}O+N{{O}_{2}}\]
\[2A{{g}_{2}}O\to 4Ag+{{O}_{2}}\]
So, the products that we will get on strong heating of \[AgN{{O}_{3}}\] are \[N{{O}_{2}}\] and \[{{O}_{2}}\].

So, option (c) is correct.

Additional Information:
- Silver nitrate decomposes and forms silver in presence of light. So, it is stored in dark colored bottles to prevent decomposition. If we will use clear glass bottles for storing it, then sunlight will penetrate through it and will solidify the silver nitrate solution.
- When ingested, it can cause severe gastrointestinal bleeding and thus be considered as poisonous.
- On being exposed to light or any organic material, this changes to black in color.
- It is highly soluble in water. But also soluble in ethanol and acetone.

Note: As we know that, \[{{H}^{+}}\] is needed to make a solution acidic and \[O{{H}^{-}}\] is needed to make a solution basic. But, \[AgN{{O}_{3}}\] produces \[A{{g}^{+}}\] and \[NO_{3}^{-}\] ions. So, it is neither an acid nor a base.
