1)Salabat Jung was born on November 24, 1718 in the family of Mir Sa’id Muhammad Khan Siddiqi Bayafandi. He was the fourth Nizam of Hyderabad and appointed as Naib Subhandar to his elder brother, Ghazi ud-Din Khan Feroze Jung II.

2)He was prime minister of Mughal Empire and earned the titles of Khan Bahadur and Salabat Jung. During the second Carnatic war he was detained, first in Nasir Jung’s camp and later in Muzafar Jung’s camp. After the MuzafarJung was killed by the Afghans on February 13 1751, he was proclaimed as the new Nizam near Lakkireddipalli by the french commander De Bussy with the title Nawab Subahdar of the Deccan.

3)He further earned the title of Amir-ul-Mamalik given by the ruler Alamgir II. He was the Nizam of Hyderabad state in India from 1751 to 1762. He also built a place in Hyderabad and named it Khilwath.
