Hint ADH is the antidiuretic hormone which helps in the regulating of the concentration of the urine formed and helps in the purification of the blood. If the ADH is produced in less quantity or maybe absent also then too much urine is formed and is diluted in nature.

It is produced by a region in the brain called the hypothalamus. The osmotic sensors present in the hypothalamus region react to the concentration of various particles in the blood. When blood pressure gets low in our body then it sends signals to the kidney to retain water in the body in order to maintain this balance. It also controls the thirst of a person. Rare water metabolism disorder is called central diabetes insipidus and it causes deficiency of ADH. When there is the absence of ADH it leads to more or excessive urine formation which is called polyuria which is followed by an extreme amount of thirst a condition termed polydipsia. The urine formation is odourless, colourless and very low concentration of particles.
