Hint: League of Nations or LON was the first worldwide intergovernmental organization whose aim was to maintain peace around the globe and prevent another world war. It was founded on 10th January 1920 after the Paris Peace Conference which ended the 1st World War. Another important treaty that was signed in the Paris Peace Conference was the Treaty of Versailles which brought an end to the 1st World war and ended the fight between Germany and allied powers.

Adolf Hitler was born on 20th April 1889 and was a German politician who became the dictator of Germany in 1933. As the leader of the Nazi party, he rose to power and started World war II in Europe by invading Poland. There are many actions that Hitler did prior to World War II that showed the weakness of the League of Nations.

The event of Anschluss in 1938, which was the German reunification of Germany and Austria into a single state. This violated the Treaty of Versailles and was condemned by the LON but still, they did nothing about it.

Then the occupation of Rhineland was a piece of German territory but was occupied by France when Germany failed to pay reparations. Hitler sent troops to occupy Rhineland excusing that they needed to defend the German border which was another violation of the Treaty of Versailles.

Another case that displayed the weakness of the LON was the capture of Czechoslovakia by Hitler who captured it by saying that it contained German-speaking people. Hitler stopped after saying that he would no longer seize any more land but he proved himself false and captured a large part of Europe in a very short amount of time including Norway, Denmark, Netherlands, Belgium and France. LON does nothing and Hitler took all over Europe.
