Hint
Typhoons are a type of natural disaster occurring in the Northern hemisphere. It mostly occurs in areas having less population.
Complete step by step answer
A typhoon is a tropical cyclone that develops between ${180^ \circ }$ and ${100^ \circ }$ East. This area is referred to as the Pacific Northwest Basin, and is the most active tropical cyclone basin on earth, responsible for about one-third of the annual tropical cyclones in the world. The Northern Pacific Ocean is broken into three regions for operational purposes: Eastern (North America to ${140^ \circ }\,W$), central ( ${140^ \circ }\,W$ to ${180^ \circ }$ ) and western ( ${180^ \circ }$ to ${100^ \circ }\,E$ ).
There are no official typhoon seasons in the northwest Pacific, as tropical cyclones form throughout the year. As any tropical cyclone, there are few significant conditions for typhoon formation and development: sufficiently warm sea surface temperatures, atmospheric instability, high humidity at low to medium tropospheric levels, ample Coriolis Effect to establish a low pressure core, a pre-existing low level accumulation or disturbance and low vertical wind shear.
Though most storms develop between June and November, there are a few storms between December and May. On average, the Northwest Pacific is home to the world’s strongest and most violent tropical cyclones. As other basins, the subtropical ridge is directed West or Northwest, with some systems recurring near and east of Japan.
China and Japan are affected the least whereas the Philippines receive the most destruction. However, some typhoons have impacted China also.
So, from the above discussion we can conclude that option (C) is correct.
Note
We can get easily confused between a typhoon and a hurricane. Both are almost the same except the names are different according to the regions they occur in. Also a typhoon is stronger than a hurricane.
