Hint - These kinds of questions can be solved with the help of placing the formula of speed. as we have the required data to place in the formula we can easily find the answer.
Complete step-by-step solution -
Formula of speed,
Speed =distance /time
Now, we know that the unit of speed is either to be Km/hr or m/sec . So here time and distance are given respectively in minutes and kilometers so we convert the time into seconds and speed in meters.
Hence, Distance=14km=14000m and Time=8min=480sec
so, Speed=$\dfrac{14000}{480}$
=29.16m/s
Hence speed of the train would be 29.16m/s
Note- This type of question can be solved with basic analyses of speed time and distance, as we already knew the data as it is mentioned in the question then by placing the simple formula of speed we can easily find the answer. Only with the help of basic such types of questions can be answered.
