Hint: It is a very simple arithmetic problem , it is given that 6 footballs can be shipped in one cartoon . so the number of footballs is directly proportional to the number of cartoons. So the ratio of cartoons and footballs must be the same.

Complete step-by-step answer:
It is given that company can ship 6 footballs in each cartoon so the number of footballs is directly proportional to the number of number of cartoons
The proportionality constant between number of number of footballs and number of cartoons is equal to 6
Let’s take the number of cartoon required to ship 75 football is equal to x
So we can write $\dfrac{75}{x}$ is equal to 6 , the value of x is equal to $\dfrac{75}{6}$ which is 12.5
Mathematically 12.5 is the correct answer but practically 12.5 is not possible so 13 cartoons are needed to ship 75 footballs.

Note: We can see that the above question is based on directly proportionality , some questions can be based on indirectly proportional for example if 1 person takes 4 days to finish a job how much time is required to finish the job by 2 people. The correct answer is 2 instead of 8. In indirectly proportional the product of the variables is constant .
