Hint:We can compare the magnetic field produced by solenoid and bar magnets with the help of characteristics of the solenoid and bar magnet, positions of poles in the solenoid and bar magnets and how magnetism occurs in solenoid and bar magnet.
Complete step by step answer:
Solenoids are one of the most common electromagnets. Solenoids consist of a tightly wrapped coil of wire, and the loops of wires magnify the effect of the single loop electromagnet. When the current is flowing inside the solenoid, it functions as a simple bar magnet. The greater current and number of turns will give the greater field inside. The ideal solenoid has a perfectly uniform magnetic field inside and zero outside. A bar magnet consists of the magnetism properties naturally we do not have to provide any current or anything else for the generation of the magnetic field near it.The diagram of the magnetic produced from the solenoid is,
The diagram of the magnetic produced from the bar magnet is,
We can compare the magnetic field produced by a solenoid with the magnetic field of a bar magnet as follows,
(1) In a bar magnet, the magnetic field originates from the body of the magnets, but in a solenoid, the magnetic field does not originate from the solenoid surface or body.
(2) The magnetic field near the bar magnet occurs naturally because the magnetism of the bar magnet occurs naturally. But we generate the magnetic field near the solenoid with the help of current.
(3) The position of the poles in the solenoid and bar magnet is different. In a bar magnet, the poles of the magnet lie inside the magnet. But in the solenoid, the poles lie on the edge of the solenoid.
Note:Remember the concept of how magnetic field produced from the bar magnet and solenoid and compare accordingly is. The desired s of solenoid and bar magnets is the same, but the process through which the desired result is obtained is different.
