Hint: ere we go through by the help of a unitary method to solve the question. First we find out what the cost of one meter cloth is. And then multiply with the given meter whose price has to be obtained.

Complete step-by-step answer:
Here in the question it is given that a cloth of 500 meters is sold at 35 rupees.
Cost of 500 meter cloth is Rs.35
Cost of 1 meter cloth is $Rs.\dfrac{{35}}{{500}}$ (By the help of unitary method)
As we find that the cost of 1 meter cloth is$Rs.\dfrac{{35}}{{500}}$. So for the cost of 20 meter cloth we simply multiply it by 20.
i.e. $Rs.\dfrac{{35}}{{500}} \times 20 = Rs.\dfrac{7}{5}$
Hence the cost of 20 meter cloths is $Rs.\dfrac{7}{5}$

Note: Whenever we face such a type of question the key concept for solving the question is we have to go through a unitary method and go through what is given in the question. Here in this question the number is given at the end of the question and we have to find the cost of it. So we apply the unitary method on the numbers not on the amounts. This is the key concept for solving unitary methods.
