Hint: In this problem first we have to convert 1500 gm into kg since the total amount is in kg.
After that we have to subtract that value from the total amount. From that we get the amount left
in the bag. Finally, we have to take the ratio of the amount taken out to the amount left in the
bag.
Total amount of rice contained in the bag 5 kg.
It is given that 1500 gm of rice is taken out for cooking.
Converting 1500 gm into kg.
$\begin{array}{l}1500\;{\rm{gm}} = \dfrac{{1500}}{{1000}}\\ \Rightarrow 1500\;{\rm{gm}}
= 1.5\;{\rm{kg}}\end{array}$

Now, we have to find the amount of rice left in the bag after taking out 1.5 kg.
Subtracting 1.5 kg from the total amount of rice.
Amount left in the bag $ = 5 - 1.5 = 3.5\;{\rm{kg}}$

According to the question, we have to find the ratio of the amount taken out to the amount left in
the bag.
Now, find the ratio.
Ratio
$\begin{array}{c} = \dfrac{{1.5}}{{3.5}}\\ = \dfrac{3}{7}\\ = 3:7\end{array}$

Hence, the ratio of the amount taken out to the amount left in the bag is $3:7$.

Note: Here, we have to determine the ratio of the amount taken out to the amount left in the bag.
Since the total quantity and the amount that taken out form the total amount is given, we can
easily find the amount left in the bag. Thus, from that value we can find our required ratio.
