Hint: Here we have been given a price of per hundred amounts of mangoes and a loss at which a certain amount of mangoes are sold we have to find the selling price of one dozen mangoes. Firstly we will find the total price of mangoes given then we will find the total selling price of them. Then find the selling price of a dozen mangoes and get our desired answer.

Complete step-by-step solution:
It has been given that $400$ mangoes are purchased at $Rs.\,125$ per hundred.
So we can say that,
$100$ Mangoes $=Rs.\,125$
Multiplying both side by $4$ we get,
$400$ Mangoes $=Rs.\,125\times 4$
$400$ Mangoes $=Rs.\,500$
Cost price of $400$ mangoes $=Rs.\,500$……$\left( 1 \right)$
Now as it is given that they are sold at a loss of $Rs.\,100$ so,
Selling price of $400$ mangoes $=Rs.\,500-Rs.\,100$
Selling price of $400$ mangoes $=Rs.\,400$
Next we will find the selling price of $1$ mango by dividing the above value by $400$ as follows,
Selling price of $1$ mango $=\dfrac{Rs.\,400}{400}$
Selling price of $1$ mango $=Rs.\,1$
We have to find the selling price of a dozen mangoes and we know that
$1$ Dozen $=12$ Mangoes
Selling price of $12$ mangoes $=Rs.\,1\times 12$
Selling price of $12$ mangoes $=Rs.\,12$
Hence the selling price of one dozen mangoes is $Rs.\,12$ .

Note: To solve such problems each and every word should be taken care of as most common mistake is to think that the cost price given is of total mangoes in the question but it is written per hundred which means we have to calculate the cost price of total mangoes and then proceed further. As the amount of loss is given there is no need to find the loss percent or any extra values. Also one dozen is equal to $12$ unit is an important step in the solution.
