HINT: For the above question we will have to know about cube and cuboid. Cube and cuboid are three- dimensional shapes which consist of six faces, eight vertices and twelve edges. Both the shapes look the same but both the shapes look the same but have different properties. A cube is a three-dimensional shape which is defined as an XYZ plane. It has six faces, eight vertices and twelve edges. All the faces of the cube are in square shape and have equal dimensions. A cuboid is also a polyhedron having six faces , eight vertices and twelve edges. The faces of the cuboid are parallel and equal in dimension. But not all the faces of a cuboid are equal in dimensions.
Complete step by step answer:
Now, for the above question we have first two cubes of side 8$cm$ which are joined end to end then,
Length = 8$cm$+ 8$cm$= 16$cm$
Breadth and height of the resulting cuboid will not change.
So, breadth = height = 8$cm$
Therefore for the resulting cuboid we have length, breadth and height are 16$cm$,8$cm$ and 8$cm$ respectively.
NOTE: Just remember the difference between the cube and cuboid very clearly. As both have the similar shape.
