The application procedure for NEET UG 2023 will begin shortly, according to the National Testing Agency (NTA). Application forms and the information brochure will be made available on the official website of NTA.
Applicants can apply at neet.nta.nic.in if they are interested in taking admission to the medical sector and related fields. According to sources, registrations were originally scheduled to start on March 5 but were moved to Monday. Every year, almost 18 lakh students apply to take the exam. Last year, NTA eliminated the age restriction.
Last year, the reservation rules were modified. A quota was established by the federal government for EWS and OBC students. Up to 15% of all places in medical colleges, including those at elite medical schools, are covered by AIQ.
15% for S.C.
7.5% for S.T
5% for Horizontal Reservation
27% for OBC (Non-creamy layer) only in Nationa institutes and central universities
10% for EWS only in National and Central institutes.
Candidates need to have passed the qualifying test with at least a 50% overall score in Physics, Chemistry, Biology, and Biotechnology, as specified in the NMC and DCI regulations, in order to qualify for NEET. Students must also successfully complete each section on their own.
Yoga, Ayurveda, Naturopathy, Unani, Siddha, Sowa-Rigpa, and Homoeopathy are among the traditional or non-allopathic therapeutic modalities that are available through AYUSH programmes for those who want to pursue their education beyond MBBS.
