BSEB stands for Bihar School Examination Board which is a statutory body under section 3 of Bihar School Examination Act - 1952 and is functioning under the Government of Bihar. It is devised to conduct secondary and senior secondary examinations in both Government and private schools that come under Bihar. It is applicable for the syllabus prescribed by the Government of Bihar. The board conducts the examinations twice a year (secondary and senior secondary school examination). One is the annual board examination in the month of February-March and the other is the supplementary exam in the month of August-September, every year.
