Hint:Vitamins are the nutrients which are needed in the development of your body. It helps your body to absorb calcium and allow your body to grow naturally. If you get enough vitamin D, it may help in maintaining healthy bones and also reduce the risk of getting flu.

Complete answer:
Vitamin D, sometimes known as sunshine vitamin (also referred to as “calciferol”) contributes to a healthy immune system.
1st source: Vitamin D is produced when UVB (ultraviolet B) rays of sunlight strike your skin and trigger vitamin D. It is obtained when a person’s skin has a direct exposure to sunlight. When cholesterol present in the skin cells, hit by the sun’s UVB (ultraviolet B) rays, it provides energy for the vitamin D process to occur. It is the only nutrient produced by the body when exposed to sunlight.

2nd source: If you don’t get enough sunlight, here is another way to get vitamin D. People can consume vitamin D but it is not naturally present in many foods. High quality of vitamin D is present in mushrooms. If people are vegetarian or vegan, mushrooms are the best options for them. Some mushrooms contain high amounts of vitamin D after exposure to sunlight. Similar to human beings, mushrooms when exposed to sunlight convert vitamin D called ergosterol into vitamin D2.

Note:Vitamin D is highly nutrient for people of all ages. This vitamin has been linked to various health benefits. However its deficiency causes ailments including diabetes, cancer, cardiovascular disease, and hypertension.
